Privacy notice.

This notice covers visitors and enquirers on skybased.co, users of the SBS client portal (portal.skybased.co), and clients of our surveying services. If you are applying to or taking part in the SBS Foundation programme, the Participant Privacy Notice applies to you instead.

If you send us an enquiry

We collect your name, email address and message, plus basic technical details (internet address, browser) used to protect the form from abuse. We use this to answer you and to take any steps you ask for toward working together (our legitimate interest, and pre-contract steps where relevant). We keep enquiries for 12 months unless they lead to ongoing work.

If you tick a newsletter or updates box

We record your preference. We will not send you marketing until a compliant sending process is in place, and you can withdraw at any time.

If you use the client portal

We hold your account details (name, work email, organisation, role) to run your access: this is necessary for the contract with your organisation. Project information inside your organisation's workspace belongs to your organisation; SBS processes it on their behalf under the client terms of service. Social-value figures shown to client organisations are anonymous, aggregated headline totals only, never any individual's data.

Our surveying and aerial services

Our drone and survey work is aimed at land, buildings and infrastructure, not people. Aerial capture can incidentally include individuals or private property; where practicable we notify site occupiers in advance, plan flight paths to avoid residential areas, use the minimum resolution needed, review and blur identifiable people before deliverables are shared, and keep raw captures only briefly. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in delivering the commissioned survey.

Storage, security and transfers

Data is stored with our database provider Supabase in London (UK), encrypted in transit and at rest, with strict access controls and audit logging. Our website host (Vercel) and email provider (Resend) are US companies used only under UK-approved international transfer safeguards. The assessment and beneficiary areas of the platform contain no advertising or third-party analytics.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies; it uses your browser's local storage only to remember theme and accessibility preferences. The client portal uses only what is strictly necessary for sign-in and security. No advertising or analytics cookies anywhere.

How long we keep it

Portal accounts: for the life of your organisation's engagement plus a short administrative period. Enquiries: the period above. Security logs: capped and reviewed.

Your rights
